Kristinehamn (Svezia), 2012
The landscape is the main feature of this new public space, a place where nature is a scenic project and the park is a stage for people's lives.
The new urban park is designed as a link to different parts of the city, connected to existing structures and routes, planning the future development of the city around it.
Emptiness is the constitutive element of the new urban spaces: the emptiness that elsewhere is simply the space between things here becomes the primary structure of the city, an emptiness that finds its reasons and its vitality in relation to the context.

The new urban space is a place where there is deep integration between the city, public space, nature and landscape, which contains facilities for collective and shared activities.
The park’s spatial quality does not only predetermine several options for use, but offers a creative and casual environment to the visitor. All the elements of the park have been designed for flexible and multifunctional use and they are to be used all year round and at all hours of the day.
