Milano, 2016
A small house full of light and colour where a system of blue doors acts as main character.
A small one-bedroom apartment in the Porta Romana area in Milan has been renovated for a young student. A colourful sliding door system is integrated with bespoke furniture so as to form a single unit of furniture that encompasses all the rooms of the home.
From the entrance and in every room the door system, depending on whether open or closed, creates a game of colours and surfaces that brings attention to the corners – through three-dimensional or movable panels.
A bench along the living room wall becomes a container, a seat and a shelf for objects: in this way, the reduced area of the living room is exploited to the maximum.
