Milano (MI), ongoing
Historic building renovation in Via Melzi d'Eril in Milan, with attic restoration.

We are working on the conservative renovation of the facades and common areas of a building from the early 20th century in Via Melzi d'Eril, in Milan. Two new apartments with large windows overlooking the roofs of the city will be created on the rooftop.

The project consists of two parts, one facing the street and the other facing the inner courtyard. The first one, that will be built thanks to the attic recovery, provides for the introduction of dormer windows aligned with the facade below. The second one, re-interprets the covering of the stairwell and consists in the insertion of a new volume defined by large windows alternating with opaque panels of micro-perforated metal sheet.
