Inverigo (CO), 2014
A house that is characterised and organised through custom designed elements: solutions dedicated to family life and to spaces to be lived in and experienced.
Starting from the need to reconcile a low budget with the search for an original space, the house is made unique with simple fixed pieces of furniture and the combination of colours and materials
In the living room, a black wall strongly marks the entire ground floor of the home marking the passage gates of entry, kitchen and stairs.
In the living room, a black wall strongly marks the entire ground floor of the home marking the passage gates of entry, kitchen and stairs.
With the demolition of an outer wall in the living room, replaced by a large glass wall-to-ceiling fixture, the visual and spatial relationship between the living room, porch and garden was amplified.
The stairs were designed as a layered element characterising the whole house: the parapet, created from designs with metal frames and strips of oak, is a large sculptural diaphragm around seven meters in height which connects all three floors of the home.
Throughout the house, design pieces and antiques emerge and become protagonists telling the story and personality of those who live there.
