The school expansion becomes an opportunity for urban regeneration.
The new buildings form a public space that did not previously exist: an urban square and a courtyard for outdoor activities.
The coverage of the new educational spaces is set up as an extension of the overlying road-square, covered by a cantilever roof, which can be transformed into an enclosed space if required.
The new gym and workshops enclose the courtyard in a space suitable for physical education, as well as hosting events, assemblies, shows or meetings.
The base runs around the volume in continuous relationship with the altitude of the ground to retain contact with the human dimension of the public space.
